About Los Cristianos Tenerife

Los Cristianos Tenerife is without doubt one of the most popular resorts in the Canary Islands.

It is situated on the southern coast of Tenerife in the municipality of Arona, Los Cristianos is an important ferry port & has a wonderful harbour that offers fishing trips, pleasure/party cruises, glass bottom boats, diving excursions, dolphin and/or whale watching and ferries to neighboroughing islands like La Gomera.

 

Los Cristianos tends to be a calmer holiday destination in comparison to its bustling neighbour Playa de las Américas and has managed to keep a little of its original charm as a fishing village.

Los Cristianos Tenerife offers a vibrant holiday experience with year round sunshine, two gorgeous sand beaches, and a vast array of bars, shops, & restaurants.
There is a multitude of accommodation in Los Cristianos to suit all budgets which include hotels, self catering apartments (like our Los Cristianos Apartment) and Timeshare resorts.

 

Beaches - Los Cristianos Tenerife

 

There are 3 beaches in Los Cristianos of which there are 2 main ones.

Playa de Los Cristianos, is a sand beach situated on the left side of the harbour as you look out towards the sea. It is sheltered by the Harbour itself and has several facilities including a children's play area, watersports & beach volley ball.
Las Vistas Beach is located in the next bay further along from the harbour and is the larger of the 2 main beaches, It has been awarded the coveted european (*FEE) blue flag for quality. Las Vistas also has a number of facilities including watersports and tourist information.

Transport - Los Cristianos Tenerife

Los Cristianos has formidable transportation links enhanced by the TF1 motorway. Just north of the town of Los Cristianos the TF1 connects you to the main destinations of the island.
You are a brief 25 mins (15km west) from the Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofía) and 45 minutes drive from the capital Santa cruz de Tenerife.

Los Cristianos has its own bus terminal with regular services to other parts of the island. Buses are extremely frequent between Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.

The bus service on Tenerife is run by TITSA. If you buy a prepaid Bono bus ticket you get 30% discount from the fare for short journeys and 50% discount for longer journeys.

Taxis are also inexpensive and readily available around town:

Los Cristianos to Reina Sofia Airport around 18 - 21 euros.
Los Cristianos to Playa de las Americas around 5 - 6 euros.

Los Cristianos itself is easily accessible on foot, it has a multitude of side streets filled with shops and restaurants and they are mostly pedestrianised. The long beachfront promenade also has many wheelchair friendly pedestrian walkways.
The ferry port in Los Cristianos Tenerife also has daily ferry services from its own harbour to neighbouring islands like La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma.
